Dropjack is a much smaller site than Digg, but still a good resource for you to post your quality content.

Many web 2.0 sites have limitations on the ads you can include, so will limit your options if they are the main focus of your content.

All you need is a Yahoo account to get started and then you can offer assistance to people with questions.
A big bonus is that Yahoo answers tends to rank in Google quite well so they receive traffic from many different places, all of which will find your answer (with a link back to your blog – naturally!)

There are lots of free advertising sites online. Many take the form of free classifieds with paid options if required, but you can get your link added on them for nothing which makes them a great place to build cheap traffic streams to your blog content, products etc
