5 Great Ways to Promote Your Brand
Using blogs to promote your brand is one of the most effective ways of utilising social media to get the word out, and if it’s coming from ‘the public’ then it feels less like marketing to people reading the blog. As a result they are more likely to take it at face value than if it was straight out marketing at them through the usual marketing channels. One way to get blogs written about your brand is to engage mum bloggers who are happy to say a few words in a blog, if you engage them in the right way. Here are 5 ways to engage mum bloggers to promote your brand.
If you are selling something for babies and your mum blogger has school age children, she won’t be inclined to write anything about your product because it’s not her scene anymore. Her kids have moved past the age where she would talk about babies in her blog. Mum bloggers have their blog readers because of their credibility, and their readers will know if they are writing about something that isn’t them, as it will be obvious. Know your market and know your mum blogger. Make it relevant.
If you want to inspire a mum blogger to write a blog about your product then make it interesting. If your product is boring she won’t be inclined to write about it. If you get her excited about your product then she will be more likely to write about it. If she is excited about it then so will her readers. Be creative when packaging and selling your product to her as she is your best bet for getting people to love your product as much as she does!
Is your product credible? Does it do what it says it does? For a mum blogger, she has her following of other mums who come to read her blog and they rely on her as a credible person to follow. Her credibility is worth a lot to her. If your product does not do what it says it does then there is no way she will risk her reputation by writing about it.
Never underestimate the power of freebies. They say that there is no such thing as a free lunch, and this goes both ways. If you really want to impress someone enough to get them to love your product enough to write about it then put your money where your mouth is and give her a sample of your promo products so she can try it out and find out for herself.
Engage your Mum Blogger Personally
Mum bloggers are just like you. If they receive a stock email that has been sent to heaps of different people they are likely to simply delete it without reading another word. If it looks like you don’t care about them and haven’t taken the time to send them a personal email then there is less likelihood that they will write about your product. Engage your Mum blogger personally and she will be more likely to write a charming blog about your product.
