LinkedIn Business Pages and how to use them

LinkedIn Business Pages and how to use them

LinkedIn offer you the opportunity to set up LinkedIn business pages behind your personal profile.

These business pages can work well to promote your business free of charge, although they do naturally have paid options available too.

First, you want to click on the ‘create a page’ button, and go through each stage of the process, adding all the information you can so your page is full of quality information.

Once you have added all your LinkedIn Business pages basic information added, you want to turn your attention to the products and services section.

You should add each product or service that you have, including as much detail as you can to fill the available space. These LinkedIn Business Pages product pages will be seen by large numbers of people so make certain that they are high in quality content.

On the right hand side you have the option to add a URL and this should be to a page of your blog or website that contains a more comprehensive description of your specific service with of course a ‘call to action’.

On the right you also have an option to add a video link so if you have a related video, complete this section.

The more options you can complete, the better your conversion rate is going to be.

Once you have completed all of your products/services as completely as you can, you can move onto the next stage.

Now you should search groups for all the related subject groups you can find, and join them.

Some groups will take a while to approve you, so you may need to wait a few days so that you have access to all the groups that are applicable for your niche.

Once you have been approved and accepted into as many groups as possible, the next task is to use the share button below each of your products/services offers within your LinkedIn Business Pages Services section, to get each product in front of all of the members of those groups.

From your products and services page, choose one of your services and click share.

You will then be able to choose whether to share that service or product with groups or with individuals. In this instance, you want to share with groups, so start typing some of the main group categories that you joined to see the groups appear in a list. Select them one by one until you have added all the groups that would be suitable for the product or service you want to promote.

With LinkedIn business pages it is important not to overdo this process. If you push every product that you have to every group, every day, then you will start to irritate people.

LinkedIn business pages are all about quality, and you have access to decision makers and business owners, so respect them by not abusing this process.

If you want to share your content frequently then it is a good idea to add new offers, or specials in order to ‘share’ new content with your groups.

Once you have shared your content with some groups, you will be able to see statistics below each product for impressions and engagement.

The statistics are fairly basic, you can’t get detailed stats, but they will give you an idea of the popularity of your products.
