LinkedIn Marketing & How to Make it Work for you

LinkedIn Marketing

LinkedIn Marketing can work incredibly well because LinkedIn is the most business orientated or all the social networks. Because of this it offers several advantages over Facebook and twitter.

Unlike the other social networks, LinkedIn allows you to see who your contacts contacts are. In effect, you can see everyone who your personal contact sphere know.

If you are looking for an introduction to a particular company or person, LinkedIn will show you which of your friends and colleagues know them, so you can arrange an introduction.

For Blog promotion purposes, the first thing you will need to do to get your LinkedIn Marketing campaign up and running is to set up your personal account. Once you have done that, and filled in as many of the details as fully as possible so your profile is up to date and current, you want to create a Page within LinkedIn for your blog.

I am assuming that you have connected to as many contacts as you can find by this point? If you haven’t yet done so, you want to keep building your contact sphere by finding as many people as you know as possible.

Set up your page detailing everything about your blog, what it does, how it helps peopleĀ  etc

The next step is to join similar related groups. LinkedIn Marketing works best if you join as many groups as possible that are related to your niche.

Within your new page, there is a tab for products and services and you want to add as many services, products etc as you can with description and benefits etc. On the right hand side is a section to add a link to the relevant page of your website, as well as video info if you have a video on the item.

The next step, looking at your services listings, is to ‘share’ that content with your groups.

Click on the share tab below each service and then click on ‘share with groups’ start typing a group name and suggestions appear. Add all suitable groups for that product or service.

Once you have added all the suitable group, click send.

Below each service you will be able to see how many impressions each service has had and also, the level of user engagement for each service. These statistics aren’t very detailed, but it will give you an idea of the impressions each service page has received and

It is a good idea to review the engagement figures and rewrite any poor performing services pages so that next time you share that content, it engages more readers.
